The March meeting of Network South Tipperary Women in Business was held at the Hotel Minella on March 3rd.  It was a very productive and interesting evening.  The evening began with an open networking session with fellow network members from the Waterford branch and also some locally based businesses.

Following the networking session, the meeting continued with an engaging speech from Mr. Eddie McVeigh, Political Director for the European Commission Representation in Ireland.  Mr. McVeigh outlined what the EU has done for Ireland and also where it has had an impact for business and individuals.  An open discussion followed whereby attendees could raise concerns or questions regarding individual business situations.  This discussion was chaired by Mr. Jonathan Fallon, Director of Government Affairs, from EPS Consulting.

Mamma Mia Gala Premier for Charity
Thursday July 10 promises to be a fantastic evening of fashion, fun and music as West End Styles and Network South Tipperary host the gala screening of Mamma Mia, the smash hit musical. The deserving beneficiaries are Breast Cancer Awareness and Cancer Research, causes which are all too familiar to many of us.
The evening will kick off with a Wine and Cheese Reception at 7.00pm in the foyer of Clonmel Omniplex, courtesy of Superquinn. As the music in the movie features many ABBA hits, it has been decided to use the 70's theme - gala goers have the option of dressing up in 70's gear, with the incentive being a prize for the best dressed specially designed and donated by silversmith Rory O'Donoghue, Irishtown.
The organizers have also organized a raffle with some fantastic prizes, including a, a 15" LCD TV, donated by Slatterys, Clonmel, a Brennan's Hotel Break, a Wine Buff Wine Tasting Course and lots of vouchers. There will also be a door prize of a hotel break, kindly donated by M & S Leady. Gala tickets and raffle tickets are available from West End Styles in O'Connell Street, The Book Market in Market Place and the Narrow Space, Mitchel Street, as well as from members of Network South Tipperary. Tickets are just €20 and raffle tickets are €5 each with a book of 5 just €20. For those who missed the smash hit that is Mamma Mia, timeless ABBA songs such as Dancing Queen, I Have a Dream, Voulez-Vous, and Take a Chance on Me, are ingeniously woven into an enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter's quest to discover the identity of her father brings 3 men from her mother's past back to the Greek island paradise they last visited 20 years ago. The mother is played by Meryl Streep and with 2 of the possible fathers being played by Colin Firth and Pierce Brosnan. More than 30 million people have enjoyed the stage productions in cities around the world which augers well for the movie. So why not be amongst the first in South Tipperary to see the movie by buying a ticket for the gala screening on July 10. In doing so you will be helping raise much needed funds for Breast Cancer Awareness and Cancer Research. And if you fancy winning a specially designed piece by silversmith Rory O'Donoghue, why not root out your best 70's gear and strut your stuff in the foyer of the Clonmel Omniplex?
